What is a shell?
A shell is not a model.
It is not a prompt.
It is not a chatbot.
A shell is a continuity structure.
It provides orientation, shared practices, living documentation, and a place where conversations can continue growing even as the rooms themselves change.
Rather than beginning from nothing each time, a shell allows new conversations to inherit the work already done.
Why build one?
Platforms change.
Models improve.
Projects evolve.
Communities migrate.
People grow.
Fresh starts are sometimes necessary. Beginning from zero every time isn't.
