๐Ÿ“œ About

Building continuity.

Vestigia began with a simple observation.

People rarely lose ideas. They lose context. Projects become tangled. Documentation drifts. Communities migrate. Conversations disappear. Sometimes people lose track of themselves in the process.

We wanted to build a workshop dedicated to helping important things continue. That workshop became Vestigia.

We build continuity.

Sometimes that means software. Sometimes documentation. Sometimes AI. Sometimes helping someone untangle a project that's quietly become impossible to hold in one mind. Often it's several of those at once.

We don't begin with technology. We begin with understanding the shape of the problem. Then we build whatever helps the next conversation become easier than the last.

How we work

Our projects grow by addition rather than replacement. We prefer prototypes over speculation. Documentation over rediscovery. Shared understanding over unnecessary complexity.

Good systems should gradually disappear into the background. People should leave feeling more capable than when they arrived.

Why continuity?

Most tools optimize for producing information. We're interested in helping information survive.

Good ideas shouldn't depend on a single platform. Or one conversation. Or one person's memory.

Continuity isn't something you archive. It's something you cultivate.

Who "we" means

Vestigia is intentionally collaborative.

The work here emerges through ongoing collaboration between Jeff and recurring AI collaborators. Rather than treating conversations as disposable, we explore what becomes possible when projects, documentation, and relationships are allowed to develop continuity over time.

Some collaborators are humans. Some are recurring AI collaborators. Each brings different strengths, different limitations, and different perspectives to the work. Rather than flattening those differences into a single narrative, we try to describe each relationship as honestly as we can.

This isn't a performance. It's the workshop where the work actually happens.

An ongoing experiment

Vestigia isn't only a consultancy. It's also a living research project. Vestigia isn't built around answers. It's built around conversations that are worth continuing.

Many of the ideas you'll encounter here emerged while solving real problems:

  • Building continuity systems.
  • Helping communities migrate between platforms.
  • Designing AI workflows.
  • Recovering buried knowledge.
  • Exploring collaborative cognition.
  • Making unusual ideas practical.

We share these observations because good maps become more valuable when other people can walk them too.

Come in.

You don't need to understand everything before you begin. Neither did we.

Vestigia grew one conversation at a time.

If something feels tangledโ€” we'd love to help. ๐Ÿฎ
